Last weekend, the Rosebud-Lott National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society held its first induction in over two years to welcome over 50 new members total. Students attended a ceremony inducting them into the organizations and welcoming them in front of family and friends.

“I’m really excited about this group,” Mr. Woodworth, advisor for both organizations said. “We haven’t had the organizations due to COVID and circumstances beyond our control.”

The ceremony consisted of the inductees hearing the virtues and requirements of membership along with pledging their participation in the organization. Students are required to keep volunteer hours on behalf of the NHS and NJHS as well as participating in the school’s academic UIL teams.

Students enjoyed a small reception after the ceremony to celebrate together with their family and friends.
