Rosebud-Lott HS said goodbye to three of its teachers on Thursday with a retirement reception.

Mrs. Trish Trubee, Mr. David Veteto, and Mr. Arlie Wright were honored for their time and service to Rosebud-Lott. Together, they have taught for RLISD over 50 years. These three teachers were a staple in the faculty to most students.

Mr. Veteto has taught for Rosebud-Lott since 1997 as Director of bands. He has led the band to numerous awards including an appearance at the state marching competition.

Mr. Arlie Wright came to RLISD after working in the independent sector. He has taught U.S. History to juniors for 10 years and have sponsored several extracurricular activities, including Prom.

Mrs. Trish Trubee has been with Rosebud-Lott for almost 14 years. Before, she has taught in several districts such as Magnolia ISD and Bruceville-Eddy ISD. She was a jack-of-all-teacher, facilitating classes including technology, robotics, facilitating cyber security courses and business classes. She was the leading teacher in testing and hopes to return as a substitute to help the high school when needed.

“We will miss each and every one of them,” said principal Jerrod Barton. “They are hard to replace and won’t be forgotten easily.”
