Members of the Lady Cougar Powerlifting team headed to the state meet on March 15th in Frisco. Jaymi Patterson, Jackie Salazar and Arianna Flores each added to their personal best record in their weight class with Illeana Rodriguez lifting 50lbs over her total personal best to earn the Class 2A State Championship. Rodriguez earned the title after improving on all her lifts throughout the season.
“To say that I am proud of them would be an understatement,” said Coach Daniel Gilmore. “I am lucky to coach this group of girls.”
