Donkey Basketball Returned to RL

Donkey basketball returned to RL last Saturday night. Spectators were able to come and watch coaches, seniors and volunteers ride donkeys and play basketball against each other.
The whole event is a fundraiser for the RL Volleyball team and their trip to Florida and the volleyball tournament held in Orlando. Over 450 tickets were sold. Also during the event, an auction was held and raised over $500 for the upcoming trip as well. RL holds the Donkey basketball yearly as a fundraiser for the sports department.
The girls of the volleyball team will be holding fundraisers throughout the spring and all during next year in an effort to pay for the trip in 2023.

This looks like great fun! What do the boys like Coach Hicks and Coach Pitts say to their donkeys before they ride them at the start of the games? I’m a 15 stone rugby player would a donkey struggle to carry me if I played this?
