Football has good showing in Leon

Last Friday night, the Cougar football began their season in Leon. Even though they did not win, the Cougars showed tremendous improvement, scoring 34 points but falling short in the final quarter. The Cougars showed improvement from last year across the board with new Head Coach Brandon Hicks and an almost all new coaching staff.
The Cougars were set to play their home opener tonight against Wortham, but excessive rain has caused a venue change. The game will now be played in Mexia, with the Cougars still being the home team. Game begins at 7:30pm.
