Varsity Cougars took care of business on Friday, Feb. 1st as they defeated the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles 54-18.

Rosebud-Lott started the game strong with a foul and two free throws from Brady Hering to get on the scoreboard. The Cougars didn’t stop after that. Bruceville-Eddy gave a little effort, but were overwhelmed by the Cougars and their scoring runs. First half of the game ended with Rosebud-Lott having a commanding lead of 28-8.

The second half was no different, as Rosebud-Lott kept up a strong defense to hold Bruceville-Eddy to only 10 points the entire half. Top scorers for the game were Nicolas Bravo with 13 points, Nathan Truesdale with 11 points, Haven Mortimer with 9 points and Brady Hering with 8 points.

The varsity Cougars traveled to Chilton last Tuesday and defeated the Pirates by double digits. The Cougars now look to finish district strong with a win over Waco Meyer Friday, Feb. 8th at home in Travis at 5pm.
