Trip to offer students a chance to visit Alaska

Audrey Krieger, Staff Writer

Students have been presented with the opportunity to travel to Alaska through WorldStrides Discoveries Program. The trip includes exploration of Denali National Park, grizzly bear, moose and caribou sightings, a tour of Exit Glacier, and a whale-watching tour in Resurrection Bay. WorldStrides hosts all-inclusive travel programs for students in high school across the country. They are known for their great service, over 50 years of experience, safety record, and preventative measures. The trip will be guided by a WorldStrides-certified Course Leader every step of the way.

The trip costs $3,143 for students and $3,641 for adults. Money can be raised through student-driven fundraising with the Gift of Education. Financial assistance and payment plans are also available. The total cost includes round-trip transportation, ground transportation, hotel accomodations, meals, the course leader, admissions and educational activities, evening activities, and personal, accident, and dental insurance. Initial deposit is only $50, and is due by December 14, 2018.

The students will be accompanied by Mr. Wright, the program leader. Departure date is Saturday, June 6, 2020 and return date is Thursday, June 11, 2020. Contact Arlie Wright or Amanda Spencer for any questions.
