The Lady Cougar volleyball team ended their season last Monday night against the Mart Lady Panthers in the bi-district playoff game held at Robinson High School.

Christa Niemeyer, Clara Coker and Isabella Mallory led the Lady Cougars with defensive digs against an aggressive offensive team. The Lady Panther players aggressively attacked the net, making Jenna Kleypas, Erakah Easley and Emma Hering lead the Lady Cougars in blocks at the net.
Alexandra Minor led the team in assists with 19 total, while Rakasia Buhl assisted in 7 points total. Hannah Willberg and Erakah Easley led the team in attacks, with nine and 11 kills respectively. Minor led the team in service attempts with 16 and two aces with no errors.
The Lady Cougars ended their season 20-14 overall and 11-3 in district play. With only two seniors graduating this year, the future of the Lady Cougars volleyball team is bright with numerous players waiting in the wings for their chance to step up to varsity. The team will return over 11 starters for the next school year, 7 of them current juniors, with hopes of making the playoffs again next year.
