Red Ribbon Week at RLHS
October 30, 2018
This past week the Student Council held Red Ribbon Week at RL High School. Each day they had a different theme. Monday was Meme Day “Laugh at Drugs”, Tuesday was Tacky Tuesday “Drugs are Tacky”, Wednesday was Character Day “Suit Up Against Drugs”, Thursday was Career Day “ Think Smart, Don’t do Drugs” and Friday was Grim Reaper Day. On Grim Reaper Day, Student Council members spend the day taking kids out of class and having them “die” from some sort of drug usage. This allows the school to show awareness of drug use and to help bring attention to put a stop to using drugs. Red Ribbon Week is held throughout the nation at all levels of school from primary grades to secondary schools. Students are actively involved throughout the week in pledging to be drug free.
