How would you describe your high school experience? My high school experience was definitely a great one. Throughout my four years I made great friends along with memories. All of my teachers were helpful and collectively they have prepared me for my next chapter in my life. I learned lots of tips and tricks along the way that I hope to use in college. I love my extracurricular activities in which they have defined who I am today.
What is your favorite high school memory? One of my favorite high school memories in high school would have to be making ice cream in Ms. Mock’s although this was definitely one of the most challenging class I took, I learned a lot from the experiments that we do. Making ice cream was definitely the highlight of that year because we were allowed to eat it after we made it.
What is one thing that you would have done differently while in high school? If I had to do one thing differently I would have involved myself in more extracurricular. Some sports I never tried but looking back I never would have known if I would have enjoyed it. Another example would be involving myself more in band.it would have been really cool to learn another instrument or even multiple instruments. The extracurricular I was involved with definitely made a huge impact on all four of my years.
Which teacher made the biggest impact on your life? One teacher that had a big impact on my life is Coach Quinney. I had him for two years and within that span I learned so much about not just math but life as well. Coach Quinney always had fun projects and he would always help us understand math concepts even when we didn’t understand it the first five times when he explained it to us. He reminded me that there are always other ways around problems and not to give up so easily.
What are your plans for after high school. After high school I plan to attend college and enter a sonography program, working towards becoming an ultrasound tech.
What advice would you give to incoming freshman? To incoming freshmen, the advice I would give to you is to not get knocked down so easily. This is something that is easier said than done. When rumors or drama begin it can be challenging not include yourself or get upset, especially if it’s about yourself. These types of things can make you distracted and loose focus on yourself when you should be your number one priority. Try new things, stay focused, and prioritize yourself.
