The game on Tuesday night against Bartlett was a very close match for our Varsity girl basketball team, it ended with a score of 47-44. It was really an exciting game to watch and our girls left the court with a great accomplishment to be proud of.
“I try not to think too much about the pressure when I’m playing and enjoy it” states freshman Jayana Green.
These girls have risen up to the challenge and worked hard to get to the Varsity standard. They try to play smart and be strategic with their moves on the court.
“When I found out I got on Varsity,” said freshman Esmeralda Cortez. “I wanted to work harder to match the rest of the girl’s speeds.”
All freshman players have seen what the expectations are and continue to strive to meet them. Both Green and Cortez understand the need to exceed.
