The RLHS Library held its first-ever snowflake contest before Thanksgiving. Contestants were asked to make original snowflakes and decorate them to enter. Snowflakes were judged based on their originality and materials used in its creation by members of the RLMS/HS staff.
Out of the 37 entries in the contest, sophomore Joselynn Pratt was named the winner. Pratt was awarded $25. Her snowflake was awarded first place because of its vintage European detail.
“We had a great turn out for the contest,” said librarian Ms. Meeker.
The snowflakes will be on display in the library throughout all winter.
