The Roaring Cougar Band kicked off the marching contest season with straight 1s at the McGregor Marching Contest this past Saturday.

Earning straight 1s is a high honor for any band and the Cougar band has earned this honor in each contest in the past three years.

The band will next compete in the Troy Marching Festival in the coming weeks, in order to prepare district contest later this month.
